Historic Reynolda Hall was renovated to implement ARAMARK’s Fresh Food Company in support of the University’s residential dining program. Food prepared to order and flexible points of service highlight the initial vision based upon a produce market (produce and deli), international grille, Pizza/Pasta, Southern Kitchen (home cooked fare and traditional grille) and a bakery. Renovations include substantial upgrades to antiquated infrastructure, new equipment in support of operational expectations and new finishes to add energy and life into the existing space affectionately known on campus as “the Pit.” The architectural solution respects and restores the historical fabric of the existing shell while developing destinations for respective service areas from a contemporary material palette of wood, glass and exposed metals.
